After breakfast, pass the checkpoint, and you will start hiking for 6 hours to the campsite located at Wayllabamba Village (3000 m / 9843 ft.) Wake up with a cup of coffee or tea in your hotel and get ready for the most challenging day of the trek. You will start with a 4-hour ascend to Llulluchapampa for lunch (3800m /12467 ft). After lunch is another 2-hour uphill to Dead Woman’s Pass (4215m / 13829ft). Once on top, you will take some time to explore and enjoy the vistas before going down for 2-hours to the basecamp. After breakfast, you will start ascending to the second mountain called RuncuRaccay pass (4000m – 13123ft) for 2 hours and then another 4-hours to the 3rd campsite. Along the way, you will visit several archeological sites, RuncuRaccay, Sayacmarca., Conchamarca, and camp at Phuyupatamarca. Perfect place to stargaze! Phuyupatamarca offers the best views of the whole Inca Trail; you will witness a spectacular sunrise over the mountain. Next, you will begin a 6-hours hike to Machu Picchu. You will visit the Intipata Inca site, Wiñaywayna, and arrive at the Sungate, from where you will have a unique view of Machu Picchu. Spend in a Hotel in Aguas Calientes. Day 5: Machu Picchu (Lost City of The Incas) – Cusco. After breakfast at the hotel, catch the first buses up to Machu Picchu. The citadel’s guided tour takes about 3 to 4 hours, visiting Machu Picchu’s best climb Huayna Picchu (optional). Lunch is in Machu Picchu hotel. Later Take the Exclusive Panoramic train back to Cusco. [images-itinerary] After breakfast in your hotel, meet your tour guide at 6:30 am and drive to KM. 82, the beginning of the Inca Trail. After meeting the trekking team, you will enter the checkpoint and start hiking for 6 hours to the campsite located at Hatunchaca Village (3000 m / 9843 ft.). The first part of the hike it’s a relatively easy two-hour walk to Patallacta Inca Site, the first Inca site along the Inca Trail. We will enjoy this ancient city’s breathtaking views throughout – After a delicious lunch from a unique, secluded location. We will walk for another two hours to the first campsite located in Hatunchaca Village, arriving at approximately 4:00 pm. Your tent, a snack, and a hot drink will be waiting for you. There will be time to rest, shower, massage, and enjoy the view of the mountains before dinner. We will wake you up bright and early with a hot cup of coffee or coca tea. This day will be the most challenging, and after breakfast, it’s a 4-hour trek uphill to Llulluchapampa, where we will enjoy a well-earned lunch. Later continue 2-hour uphill to Dead Woman’s Pass at 4215m / 13829ft; this is the highest point along the Inca trail. At the summit, we will take time to appreciate the serenity of this location while your guide completes a traditional offering ceremony to the Apus (local Gods). After a 2-hour downhill trek to Pacaymayu Valley, where we will eat dinner and spend the night. After breakfast, we will start the climb to the second mountain. The second pass is an easier 2-hours climb, and we will take time to explore two Inca sites along the way; RuncuRaccay and Sayacmarca. Both of them are located in the cloud forest – offering magnificent views – It’s’s then a 20-minute walk to the lunch place at Chaquicocha (dry lake, 3600m / 11811 ft.). Fed and energized, we will continue for two more hours until our campsite at Phuyupatamarka (City in the Clouds) with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the Machu Picchu mountain Intipata (Terraces of the Sun). You will be able to admire a beautiful sunset over the Vilcabamba mountain range before dinner, with an unobstructed view of the constellations. This is the perfect place to stargaze! With the hard part well and truly over, you can relax and enjoy the easiest and arguably most exciting day of the trek. Today’s route is extremely varied, and it is only a 5-hour walk to Machu Picchu. Along the way, you will pass through several different ecosystems. We will visit two Inca sites, Phuyupatamarka (City in the Clouds), with spectacular views of the Urubamba River and the Machu Picchu mountain and Intipata (Terraces of the Sun). At Intipata, there will be time to rest and take in your magical surroundings. We will reach Wiñaywayna at approximately 11:00 am to have lunch, and you can then enjoy some free time to relax and unwind in this important Inca site – where your guide will explain the history of this fantastic location. After lunch, we will walk for an hour to the Sungate, taking in the stunning views along the way. On a clear day, you can watch the spectacular sunset over Machu Picchu from the Sungate, which is truly an unforgettable sight. We will then start our one-hour descent towards Macchu Picchu. We will arrive late and take photos of the sacred Inca city while it is almost empty. Later, take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, have dinner in a Local Restaurant, and spend the night in a hotel. On our final day, we have to get up very early to prepare for the highlight of your TreXperience, visiting Machu Picchu – the Lost City of the Incas. We will go straight to the line to wait for the first bus going up to Machu Picchu. Arriving at the sky brightens. You can watch the spectacular sunrise over Machu Picchu on a clear day, which is truly an unforgettable sight. Your guide will take you on a 3 to 4-hour comprehensive tour of the city before leaving you in Machu Picchu to explore on your own or climb either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain (must be booked as far in advance as possible). After finishing the tour, you will have lunch at Tinkuy Restaurant in Machu Picchu to take the Exclusive Panoramic train back to Cusco, where the Deluxe Inca Trail ends.
