Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Airport Transfer — Cusco City Tour

We will pick you up from the airport in Cusco and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco city. At 13:00 pm we start the city tour of Cusco, visiting the Plaza de Armas, Koricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Quenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay.

Day 2: Sacred Valley Tour — Pisac, Salineras, Moray, and Ollantaytambo

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am and drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is Awanacancha where we visit the alpaca farm, then the Taray viewpoint for the best view of the Sacred Valley.

Later, we continue to the town of Pisaq to visit the indigenous market and then drive to the Moray circular terraces, the Salineras of Maras, and Urubamba where we have lunch at a local restaurant. The last place to visit is Ollantaytambo before boarding the train to Aguas Calientes to spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3: Visit Machu Picchu — Cusco

After early breakfast in your hotel, we will board one of the first buses to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at the gate, you need to show your original passport and the tickets we provide. You will have a guided tour of the citadel for about 3 hours exploring the best of this ancient site.

Afterward, you will have free time to explore on your own or take the extra hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Montaña (not included). Later, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes, have lunch (not included), and board the afternoon panoramic train back to Ollantaytambo, followed by bus back to Cusco. Arrival time is around 7:30 pm at your hotel in Cusco.

Day 4: Humantay Lake Tour

We will collect you from your hotel in Cusco at 4:30 am and drive towards the Salkantay area. Upon arrival at Soraypampa basecamp, we will enjoy a delicious picnic breakfast prepared by your trekking chef.

The hike starts with a slow ascent to Humantay Lake for about 2 hours. Upon arrival at the turquoise lake, you will have time to unwind, walk around and take in the beautiful vistas. Then, you will hike back down for another 2 hours to the trailhead where our trekking chef will be waiting with a delicious lunch prepared with local products. Return to Cusco by bus, arriving at approximately 6:00 pm. You need to book a hotel in Cusco city.

Day 5: Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley

We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 5:00 am and drive towards the Ausangate area. Upon arrival at the trailhead, your trekking chef will provide you with a freshly prepared breakfast.

After breakfast, the hike starts with a 2-hour uphill walk to the top of Rainbow Mountain. At the top, you will be rewarded with a 360° view and the amazing colored mountain. After enjoying the view, you will hike for another 25 minutes to the Red Valley, a rarely visited place with stunning landscapes.

After exploring the Red Valley, you will return to the trailhead where the chef will be waiting with lunch. Then, drive back to Cusco by bus. Arrival time to Cusco is around 6:00 pm. You need to book a hotel in Cusco.
