Full Description of the Private Luxury Machu Picchu Tour

Your tour begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and a private transfer to the train station. Upon arrival you will be welcomed aboard the First Class Train to Machu Picchu.

Onboard the First Class Train, you will enjoy personalized service, a gourmet 3-course menu made with local ingredients, an observatory lounge with live music, and a balcony area to appreciate the beautiful views of the Andes and the Urubamba River.

After approximately 4 hours of travel from Cusco, you will arrive in Aguas Calientes and board a bus for about 30 minutes up to the citadel of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, your exclusive private guide will be waiting for you to start an afternoon visit of the citadel, when there are generally fewer visitors.

The guided tour of Machu Picchu takes about 3 hours. Your guide will take you to the most spectacular areas of the site—temples, plazas, palaces, terraces—and explain the history and mysteries of the Lost City of the Incas. After the tour, you will have some free time to explore on your own.

Later, you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes and board the First Class train back to Cusco. On the return journey you will enjoy cocktails, wines, entertainment, and a special dinner with drinks. Upon arrival at the final train station, our team will transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.
