Frequently Asked Questions

How long is the Peru Travel to the Ancient Kingdoms tour?

The tour lasts 7 days and 6 nights, starting in Lima and finishing at
Cusco airport. It combines the coastal desert region with the Andes and Machu Picchu.

Where does the tour start and finish?

The tour starts at Lima airport, where we pick you up and transfer
you to your hotel. It finishes at Cusco airport, where we drop you
off for your onward or return flight. You must book your international flights and
the return flight from Cusco to Lima separately.

What kind of accommodation is included?

This package includes 4-star hotels in all destinations (Lima,
Huacachina, Cusco, and Aguas Calientes), based on double occupancy. Specific hotels
may vary, but we use trusted, centrally located properties of a similar standard.

Is this tour suitable for all ages and fitness levels?

Yes, the tour is designed for travelers with a wide range of ages. Most activities are
light to moderate: walking city tours, boat rides, scenic flights, and a guided visit
to Machu Picchu. The most physically demanding parts are walking on uneven ground at
higher altitudes (Cusco and Machu Picchu). If you have mobility issues, please inform
us so we can advise and adapt.

Do I need to acclimatize to the altitude in Cusco?

Cusco sits at about 3,400 m (11,155 ft), so you may feel the effects of
altitude. This itinerary gradually transitions from sea level to Cusco, but we still
recommend resting, staying hydrated, and avoiding heavy meals on your first day in the
Andes. If you’re concerned, speak with your doctor before traveling.

Are flights included in the package?

The package includes a one-way flight from Lima to Cusco. However,
international flights and the flight from Cusco to Lima
at the end of the tour are not included and must be booked
separately.

Can this tour be customized?

Yes. This itinerary can be customized to your preferences—adding extra nights,
upgrading hotels, changing train classes, or including optional tours such as Rainbow
Mountain. Let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll design a version that fits you.

How many people are in the group?

We require a minimum of 2 participants to run this tour. Group size
is kept small to offer a more personalized experience. For larger groups, we can add
extra guides and vehicles as needed.

What Covid-19 safety measures do you follow?

We apply strict hygiene measures, including temperature checks for travelers when
required, use of masks in public areas according to local regulations, hand sanitizer
available at all times, regular sanitizing of vehicles and high-contact surfaces,
reduced capacity in transportation and tourist sites when needed, and 100% online
payments with flexible booking options during the COVID-19 period.

How far in advance should I book this tour?

We recommend booking at least 2–3 months in advance, especially if
you plan to travel during the high season (May–September). Booking early helps ensure
the best hotel options, flight times, and train schedules.
